NAT Re's 44th Anniversary

National Reinsurance Corporation of the Philippines (Nat Re), the country’s national reinsurer, was incorporated on June 7, 1978 as a professional reinsurance corporation providing life and non-life reinsurance to the Philippines and neighboring insurance markets. In 2006, Nat Re merged with Universal Malayan Reinsurance Corporation with the Company as the surviving entity.

Nat Re provides its clients - insurance companies at home and overseas - with life and non-life reinsurance capacity under both treaty and facultative arrangements; and consultancy, technical, and advisory services in relation to the (re)insurance business.

Nat Re also stimulates know-how transfer in the industry by helping build its clients' capabilities in underwriting, product development, pricing, retention setting, and reinsurance program analysis, and sharing with them knowledge of emerging markets and global best practices in reinsurance.

On its 44th year, with knowledge of the local market stemming from more than four decades of on-the-ground presence and a strong collaboration with insurance industry stakeholders, Nat Re continues to help insurers grow, manage risks, and thrive in the long term.
